Pat Martino Guestbook

Comments:
Good morning Mr. Pat, I want to express my greatest respect and admiration, your music has given me a style to follow, a style that is not simple requires study with great concentration.

Your musical and life history is the most amazing in the field of jazz guitar, which is why you are a living legend.

I wish you good health and I look forward to seeing more educational videos of you on the internet.

Dear Mr. Martino,
I attended a guitar workshop you gave in PA almost 15 years ago. I saw you perform the night before the workshop and I will never forget that as I glanced across the bar, there you were. I thought, holy crikey that's him! You saw me and waved and said hello. Though I am a bass player you put me at ease that there was so much common ground. I went to that festival alone and having just started a family felt so incredibly grateful that you just noticed me and said hello.

What I learned from your workshop was more than scales, more than notes, more than sound. It was how to find yourself in any situation and relate it to music and more than that -- how to be present, kind and an authentic human being.

Thank you so, so, so much. I wish you a speedy recovery. Peace and love!!!
Rick

Dear Pat, I listened to you in Ferrara in Italy in November 2018 in one of the most beautiful concerts of my life, I shook your hand and I hugged you. I love you, and know that your music and your guitar always accompany my days. I hug you again, ciao, Antonella.

My guitar teacher Tony Calabro who I believe had lessons with you 11 years ago has introduced your name to me. We were doing a technical study with a plectrum and then he got me to listen to you play Prelude. A was blown away! I love your guitar playing and hope to be as good as you someday. I really hope you get well soon.
