Sleep well Pat... he was my teacher back in the 70s and a longtime friend. I was still in high school when I bought his 1972 album "The Visit" at 3rd St Jazz in Philly and it changed my life as a guitarist. So sad to hear he passed today, but we have his music and his approach to not only the guitar, but life and what it means to be a true artist. Condolences and prayers to Aya. Jack and Diana

Kate and I are sorry to learn of Pat's passing.
I had a great time playing and hanging with him when he appeared with us at our jazz series at Artis Naples in February of 2015. He was a great player and a wonderful cat. RIP.

To dear Aya, we are all so deeply saddened by the news of Pat's passing. We are thinking of you and your huge loss. Pat was, and always will be, an inspiration too many. I will treasure the time I spent with him, and you, 12 years ago, for ever. Pat was so incredibly generous with me during the two days I spent with him. You were both so, so gracious and generous with your time with Mary and I, and we will never forget that. I first encountered "The Visit" in 1973. The album notes sold me on the record by an artist I was unfamiliar with, still his Opus IMO. I will remain a fan always. RIP you mad genius!
