I had the good fortune to see the Joyous Lake tour in 1977 in Minneapolis. I also saw Pat perform in Denver in 2017. I got to hang with him after both concerts. These are special moments that I will cherish forever.

Hey there Papa Pat!! I love hearing all the old timers talk about Pat Azzarra....there is Sonny Troy,Joe Lano,Joe Federico, Dennis and Joe Sgro and a bunch of other really fine Italian guitarists, all from Philly. Man, they all dig you, and so do I, because you are the best of the bunch. Nobody in the whole wide world will ever match your touch and deep soul. I hear it on every ballad and blues you ever recorded. I hope you read this and it makes you smile because this little Philly Jewish guitar player loves you. :!cool: :!cool:

Pat,

Your music has been a consistent and familiar source of positive energy in my life since I first started listening to your recordings many moons ago. You have been an inspiration in my life and it pains me to know that you're suffering from the ailments at hand. I had a chance to meet you in Canada after one of your last five shows before you had to stop touring and I'm ever grateful to have had that opportunity. Wishing you all the best, both in recovery and overall happiness. You deserve it for all you've done to bring such wondrous music into our ears all of these years.

I was in shock to read that you have serious medical problems.I am a great fan of you for many many years. I had the honor to shake hand with you several years ago in Amsterdam.
I play the guitar for many years and you give me a lot of inspiration. Thank you for that.

I wish that all you wishes come true.

Pat, in 1974/1975, I asked you to play at Kean College in Union, NJ. Before the show, Les Paul contacted me to let me know he was attending the show. Les said that at that time, you were working on a new style to blues music. I did not follow Les's comments. Any comments on what Les was referring too? Thank you for all the great years of music, innovation and leading the way for future music lovers and musicians. Ed
